Thank you for registering for Cultivating Education in the Midst of Poverty Summit to be held April 30, 2015 at Tarrant County College - South Campus. 

We are excited to welcome you to a day of engaging discussion and exchange solutions to better serve our community.

Parking & Registration 

Parking for the Summit is free. Attendees will be required to park in the designated student parking area (white lines).  Please print the parking pass and place it on your vehicle’s dashboard.

Registration and check-in for the summit is from 10-10:30 a.m. For faster registration, please bring the Eventbrite ticket. Coffee and pastries will be available for your enjoyment.

Continuing Education Units (CEU)

Attendees who requested CEU Certificates are required to bring your social work license number and check-in at the CEU registration table. CEU Certificates will be available at CEU table at the end of the Summit. 

Summit Overview  

The Summit will feature student and faculty panel discussions with area experts who will provide a comparative perspective in analyzing past & current trends and techniques for social service providers in our area to better understand poverty and the never-ending downward spiral many individuals and families find themselves in.

Keynote & Lunch

Our Keynote speaker will be John Otis Turntine, Director of the Transfer and Career Center and the Educational Talent Search program at Weatherford College. Lunch (provided by TXU Energy) will be served during this time. After lunch, panelists will discuss and explore questions on education and poverty submitted prior to the Summit.   

We look forward to seeing you tomorrow as we exchange experiences, ideas and solutions on Poverty in North Texas. The summit is hosted by Community Action Partners - City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County College - South Campus and Fort Worth Independent School District.
